Drexel Black Lacquer Chinoiserie Secretary Desk & Bookcase

Signed by famous maker, "Drexel, Et Cetera Collection," this 25 year old secretary desk and bookcase is black lacquer with delicate painting and raised enamel against a black lacquer background in the Chinese manner.

The original finish is in extremely fine condition on this American made vintage furniture. Adjustable plate glass shelves have carved grooves to display plates. The interior has lighting plus an original red lacquer finish inside the double arched bookcase. The drop front desk rests on supports that extend automatically, inside are a gold tooled leather writing surface with painted cubicles and drawers inside.

Size of this sophisticated Asian style or "Chinoiserie" cabinet is 37" wide, 18" deep, 82" tall and the desktop is 29" high.
