This library bookcase was richly hand carved in Holland about 1920 in the Renaissance manner. "Hammered" smoke colored stained glass doors are hand leaded.
The top of the separate base cabinet has been revarnished for durability. The rest of the finish is original and very well preserved, and has been waxed and buffed so that all that is needed to preserve its luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Solid oak vintage furniture, doors have working locks. Wrought iron hardware is original, drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. Doors have traditional "linen fold" carved panels. Adjustable shelves rest on wooden supports. One pane has a tiny hairline crack in a corner, see photos.
Measurements are 59 1/2" wide, 21 1/2" deep and 67 1/2" tall.
