This late Victorian or Eastlake period shoe shine stand from around 1880 has a leather seat to use as a stool, an iron footrest under the lid would support a shoe when polishing.
On one side is a shelf, opposite is a drawer. Maple with incised "spoon" carving, the old finish is well worn on this American made antique caddy. Brass nail heads secure the leather seat, size is 15" wide, 12" deep and 16" tall.
