Architectural salvage from an 1880 late Victorian or Eastlake period house, this fireplace mantel and surround has later paint. Fluting and incised carving is characteristic of the era.
From the back, this antique mantel appears to be solid cherry wood. Size is 59" wide including the mounting pieces, 11 1/2" deep, 51" tall and the fire opening is 35 1/2" square.
