The case of this "grandmother" size tall case clock is oak, the movement is signed by famous German clockmaker, "Gustave Becker." The engraved brass dial recall English clocks of centuries past.
Dating from about 1900, the movement appears original to the American made quarter-sawn oak case with spiral columns. The original finish on solid quarter sawn oak is in remarkably fine condition.
The brass 8 day spring movement has been cleaned and oiled, it works beautifully and plays the familiar Westminster chimes on the quarter hour and hour. Measurements of this antique are 17 1/2" wide, 9" deep and 70" tall.
