Mercury Sculpture after Giambologna, Antique 1900 Spelter Statue

This statue from about 1900 is after the famous original by Giambologna in Florence, Italy.

Cast in spelter or white metal, the original bronze and black finish is very well preserved on this antique sculpture. Mercury is the messenger of the gods, shown by the wings on his feet and helmet and is captured while racing on a heavenly errand.

Size is 9" wide, 7" deep and 27" tall.
