A striking Midcentury Modern design floor lamp has an arched nickel support and cylindrical marble base from about 20 years ago. There is a swivel mount on the polished ball or orb shaped shade.
We assume that this unsigned lamp is copied after the famous "Arco" lamp designed by the Castiglionis for Flos in 1962. Still being made and costing thousands of dollars, an example is in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
The base is a heavy block of marble 12" in diameter and 7" tall, the overall lamp is 6' 9" tall and 6' 3" across the arc.
