Renaissance 4 Door Bookcase Carved Figures, Lionhead

Richly hand carved in the Renaissance manner, a walnut bookcase has hand carved figural statues and lion heads. All four doors have beveled glass.

The lustrous original finish is excellent with only minor mars at the edges on this antique furniture dating from about 1900. Interior shelves are adjustable on wooden supports, and the inside is also finished. Original locks are operational on hand dovetailed drawers. Heavy weight brasses are also original.

Deep moldings and balanced proportions lend grandeur to this antique furniture. Heroic in scale and artistry, this stately bookcase can be disassembled for moving. Dimensions are 8'9" long, 22" deep and 6'11" tall. Matching desk sold separately.
