Round Foyer or Ballroom Settee or Sofa, Hand Painted, New Upholstery #29726

A spectacular round sofa or settee from the 1930's was made for a grand foyer or ballroom. Upholstery is recent on this vintage furniture, said to be from Italy.

The original shaded and hand painted "crackle" finish is in very fine condition. The carved flame shape finial is removable. Soft seats are cut velvet, the curving frame is strong and tight with a few minor losses and shrinkage separations from age.

Dimensions are 70" across, 46" tall including the removable 7" finial, and seats are 17" high. Moved on its side, it will go through a 32" doorway.
