Made for a saddler about 1900 and signed "Rand (?) of Cin., O." this saddle maker's workbench is well worn from a century's use.
Hickory, oak and maple hardwoods have a fine old finish, preserving lots of stains, dings and mars, see photos. To hold pieces of leather, there is a leather strap and foot operated 6 position iron mechanism. This rustic antique country furniture measures 26" long, 16" wide and 42" tall.
