This nostalgic oak Hoosier style kitchen cupboard is signed on a brass plaque, "Sellers, Elwood, Ind.," and has a roll top and stained glass windows. A classic American antique from about 1900, the tip-out flour hopper with sifter is original.
The golden finish is excellent with just enough character and patina to show its age with a few mars and stains. Inside are original tin and wire racks plus posters with hot kitchen tips.
The maple hardwood butcher block work top pulls out, and the upper section is separate from the base for handling. On the top, dovetailed joints are visible on this kitchen furniture - see photo. Hardware appears original, the roll slides smoothly and the stained glass is undamaged.
Size is 49" wide, 28" deep, 70" tall and the butcher block work surface is 32 1/2" above the floor.
