A set of six dining chairs were hand carved with lion heads in Italy about 1880, and have leather upholstery and brass nailheads.
The leather is very well worn with cracks and stains, some backs are torn, see photos. Springs are still firm on this European antique furniture. Solid oak frames are strong and tight.
The original finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
The arm chair measures 24" wide, 22" deep, 43" tall and the seat is 20" high, five side chairs are 19" wide, 19" deep and 41" tall.
