A traditional Colonial design stitchery sampler is signed "M.N." and dated 1929. The linen background is an ecru color with vivid hand stitched designs and poem motto.
Just visible at the bottom is "McCall 1729," presumably a pattern number for this needlework project. The original frame has a soft painted pinstripe on this American made textile.
