Hand carved of solid oak in the 1920's, an imposing bookcase in the Tudor manner has a Rathskeller scene panel door opening into a bar cabinet in the center. Inside are a glass shelf and mirrored serving area, finished in a golden oak.
The top has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the cabinet has its original finish in extremely fine condition, waxed and buffed so only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.
Upper shelves are adjustable. Carved bun feet and moldings show expert European workmanship, the drinking scene in the panel has nice perspective. A key operates all locks on this antique library furniture from Scandinavia.
Measurements are 80" wide, 12" deep and 45" tall.
