This Victorian grand piano is signed "Henry F. Miller, Boston," and dates from 1884. The case has a beautiful satiny finish on rosewood and mahogany, included is a bench with a matching finish.
The action is original, this antique instrument was re-strung some years ago. There are cracks in the soundboard as is typical of almost all old pianos, some have old repairs. There are no buzzes, and the sound board is not a problem - nicely crowned, This historic piano has beautiful delicate gentle tone and is easy to play. Newly tuned, this piano holds a tune remarkably well for its age. Keys are original ivory with some stains and chips. The case is gorgeous furniture with wonderful natural grain. There are low and high supports for the wing when it is raised.
Measurements are 6'10" long, 57" wide, and 38" tall. The bench has music storage underneath and is 34" long, 16" wide and 19" tall.
