A spectacular Eastlake queen size bed was carved of solid walnut about 1880 at the end of the Victorian period. Richly detailed with incised "spoon" or chip carving, there are matched burl panels and geometric fluting.
The gleaming rich finish is in excellent condition. Deep moldings and panels are beautifully proportioned.
American made antique furniture, this bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress as shown in photos. Original side rails have been extended, and wooden cross supports for a spring unit are included.
Measurements are 66" wide, 90" long, the headboard is 78" tall and the footboard is 32" high.
The similar chest or dresser in photos is priced and sold separately, call or email for availability.
