A gorgeous Victorian Renaissance period parlor set includes a sofa or settee and an armchair with finely detailed griffin and head sculptures.
- American antique 1870s furniture
- No signature found but the artistry looks like the work of famous maker, John Jeliff (1813-1893) of Newark, NJ
- Hand carved of solid walnut & figured walnut burl, frames are strong and durable
- Deep seats are comfortable
- Old finish in very fine condition with minor mars, losses, & shrinkage separations - see photos
- Brass casters are original
- Older rose velvet upholstery has minor wear & spots - see photos
Settee size is 74" wide, 34" deep, and 46.5" tall with seat 24" deep and 16" high.
Armchair size is 32" wide, 36.5" deep, and 45" tall. Seat is 25" deep and 17" high with arms 27" high.
