A magnificent Steinway signed Model L grand piano from 1947 has a shimmering curly mahogany case. This famed musical instrument is in beautiful playing condition. The original hand rubbed finish is very with minor wear and warm patina. Keys are original and in very fine condition with a few shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
The tone and feel is what is expected from America's finest maker. There are two shrinkage separations in the soundboard that were restored, neither affects sound or performance. Professionally rebuilt about 24 years ago, the pinblock was replaced, the iron frame rebronzed, the action reworked and the piano was re-strung. This stellar musical instrument has been professionally tuned and inspected, it is in excellent playing condition.
Piano dimensions are 58" wide, 38 1/2" tall and 5' 11" long when closed.
The similar bench has music storage under the seat and measures 36" long, 15" wide and 17 1/2" tall.
