Hand carved of solid oak with Gothic tracery and "linenfold" panels, this bookcase from Holland dates to the early 1900's.
The original finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain its patina is an occasional wipe with soft dry cloth.
Hand chisel marks by a master carver are visible everywhere. Wrought iron latches and hardware are original on this antique Dutch library furniture. There are small shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
Measurements are 65" wide, 15" deep and 54" tall.
