Hand hewn of solid oak about 1750 in England, this armoire or wardrobe has clothes pegs inside, plus later shelves to use as a linen press. Raised panels, wooden pegs at the joints and hand planing marks are authentic on this antique furniture.
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving just enough mars at the edges and shrinkage separations from age for a little historic character. Bun feet are well proportioned. The top is not finished.
Measurements are 59" wide, 19" deep and 66 1/2" tall.
