A Federal or Hepplewhite design tilt top candle stand or table was hand carved of solid cherry, probably during the American "Centennial" movement around 1876, when Colonial era furniture was celebrated and recreated.
Every surface was hand whittled and planed, the restored finish is in very fine condition on this American made antique furniture. The "bird cage" style tilting mechanism is authentic. On the top is classic inlaid cross.
Measurements are 18" diameter and 30" tall.
