Hand carved of solid oak about 1915 in Scandinavia, this 9 piece dining set includes a table with pull out leaves and lion paw feet plus eight upholstered chairs.
The inlaid table top has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the original finish is in very fine condition, waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain the warm luster is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
At both ends of the table are 26" wide pull out or draw leaves, all supported on carved scroll legs with a trestle base
Dimensions are 39" wide, 31" tall, legroom is 25" underneath and length when closed is 71." With both leaves extended, length is 10' 2" overall.
Chairs have been reglued to be sturdy and strong for another generation. The finish is very well preserved with minor touchups over the years. Older upholstery has brass nail head trim and is in very good condition, see photos. There is one chair with a little fraying.
Two armchairs measure 24" wide, 24" deep, 48" tall and seats are 18" high, six side chairs are 19" wide, 20" deep and 47" tall.
