Used for generations by cabinetmakers, this authentic 1870 era carpenter's workbench would make a picturesque wine and appetizer table or kitchen island.
Lots of character - mars, losses and wear give this antique work bench a warm patina, the golden finish is beautiful on all sides. There are large clamping vises with wooden screws at both ends, and on the top is a recessed tool tray. Underneath is a hand dovetailed rustic drawer with a carved pull.
Ruggedly crafted of hard maple with an oak base, the top lifts off for easier moving. Exposed dovetail and mortise joints are fascinating on this 1890's American woodworker's furniture. The hand hewn oak base has wooden pegged joints.
Tip to tip measurements including the handles are 92" long, 37" wide and 30" tall.
