Carved Italian Antique King Size Bed

Hand carved in Italy about 1900, a grand king size bed has graceful artistry and matched burl panels. The glowing finish is excellent with warm rich patina and lots of antique character - tiny irregularities, shrinkage separations and small mars at the edges.
Curving panels of quarter matched "oyster" burl have intricate natural grain. Opulent frames are deeply carved in high relief, they are strong and sturdy. This palatial furniture was crafted near Turin in northern Italy. The bed has been expertly adapted to fit standard modern king size bedding as shown.
Measurements of this graceful king size bed are 6' 10" wide and 7' 8" long. The headboard is 52" tall and the footboard is 29' tall.
