This authentic country pine secretary desk has a bookcase top and gorgeous warm patina. Entirely hand-made about 1840, there are pegged joints, chamfered panels and square nails.
The warm finish is excellent on this rugged antique, from "Baxter Springs, Kansas," according to the inscription on the door.
When the front is opened, there are cubbyholes inside. Lots of mars, wear and old ink stains add loads of character.
Size of this picturesque furniture is 3' wide, 19" deep, 6'9" tall and the writing surface is about 31" above the floor.
