A splendid solid oak bookcase with leaded glass doors was hand carved in Holland in the Gothic manner about 1915. The restored finish is in excellent condition on this Dutch antique furniture.
Lions with shields, spiral columns and "linen fold" panels are authentic. Working locks and wrought iron hardware are original. Hand leaded glass panes are undamaged, there is one piece that has a small gap. The right door panel has shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Historic detailing shows chisel marks from a master carver.
Disassembles into two pieces for easier transport, the overall size is 77 1/2" wide, 21" deep and 76" tall.
