Dating from about 1900 this truly magnificent American Empire 5' diameter dining table has a large pedestal with paw feet. There are seven 12" wide skirted leaves.
Solid mahogany, the top has gorgeous grain, and the pedestal is matched flame grain mahogany. This historic furniture has a rich deep satiny finish in excellent condition. All four feet are carved solid mahogany lion paws. When extended, the pedestal splits open to reveal a center leg for extra support. The table opens smoothly, the leaves fit and match very well. Six or eight can be seated around the table when closed, and 12 to 14 with all leaves in.
Measurements of this majestic antique are 5' diameter, 29" tall, legroom is 25 1/2" high, and total length with all 7 leaves in place is 12.'
