Empire Carved Coat Tree, Hat Rack or Hall Stand

Hand carved of solid mahogany with acanthus leaves and a pineapple finial in the American Empire style, this coat tree, hat rack or hall stand dates from about 1900 and would be useful in a dressing area as well.
The original finish is very well preserved with mars at the base for antique character, see photos. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its patina.
American made, dimensions are 27" across the base and 71" tall.
