A monumental sideboard or back bar was hand carved of solid mahogany in England about 1890. Three dimensional panels show masterful artistry. Four mirrors are shaped and beveled. The top surface has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the finish is original and extremely well preserved with warm patina.
There are minor warps and gaps from age for antique character, see photos. Drawers have tiny hand cut dovetail joints on solid mahogany sides. Deeply embossed brasses are gold plated and original. Moldings and fluted columns are very well proportioned on this palatial furniture.
Measurements are 85" wide, 28" deep, 8' 6 1/2" tall and the base cabinet is 38 1/2" high.
