French Rococo 1890 Antique Carved Walnut Queen Size Bed

Exquisite three dimensional hand carving is remarkable on this graceful 1890's French bed in the Rococo manner.

The original finish is very well preserved, and has been waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Solid walnut, the raised and convex panels are artistic.

Modern steel side rails have been attached, so a standard queen size mattress fits nicely, wood cross pieces are included.

The demonstrator mattress and spring unit in photos are 19" thick together.

Dimensions are 65" wide, 87" long, the headboard is 63" tall and the footboard is 35" high.
