Georgian 1940's Vintage Carved Mahogany Dining Set, Table, 5 Leaves, 8 Chairs

A traditional Georgian style mahogany dining set comprises a table with five 9" wide leaves and 8 chairs. The finish is in excellent condition on this American made 1940's vintage furniture.

The table and host chairs have classic ball and claw feet, six side chairs have matching backs and reeded legs. A maker's signature is lost. All frames are tight and strong, reglued to serve another generation.

The table has double center legs for extra support. Two leaves have matching skirts or aprons, three do not.

Measurements are 42" wide, 30 1/2" tall, legroom is 26" underneath, length when closed is 62" and with all five leaves in place, length is 107" overall. Chairs are all newly upholstered in imported fabric and have comfortably curved solid mahogany backs. Two armchairs measure 26" wide, 22" deep, 38" tall and seats are 19" high, six side chairs are 20" wide, 21" deep and 37" tall.
