Statue of Fisherman, Le Pecheur

This charming statue depicts "La Pecheur," a Fisherman. The young man is unhooking a fish, his pants are rolled up and his pose is casual, focused on his task. Alongside is his bait can and wicker basket.

This statue is spelter, an alloy metal similar to pewter, and has its original dark bronze patina with just enough wear for a little character. We see no damage to this picturesque late Victorian or Art Nouveau sculpture from about 1895. A beautiful and naturalistic work of art, height is almost 21" tall.
