An architectural salvage crest was hand carved in the Brittany tradition in France about 1890.
The province of "Bretagne" was originally a separate country with its own language, and this includes classic motifs of spindles and leaves.
An original finish is very well preserved on this solid chestnut antique fragment, size is 21 1/2" wide, 9" tall and 1" deep.
