This wonderful Victorian period desk from the 1860's was made for architect partners, to face each other, with compartments at both ends for drawings. Hand carved pulls and matched flame mahogany panels are beautiful.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made library or office furniture. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. Drawings up to 22" x 30" fit in the end compartments. The top is old leather with just enough wear and mars for a little antique character.
There are working keys on this historic "partner's" desk for the end compartments and one partner's door, the other door key is a handle only, that lock does not work. Feet are rebuilt.
Measurements are 65" long, 36" deep, 32" tall and the kneeholes are 26" wide and 24 1/2" high.
