A desk or library armchair from the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1870 was carved of solid walnut with burl panels. The seat is newly upholstered in saddle leather.
The finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few mars for antique character. Reglued to serve another generation, the frame is sturdy and tight on this American made furniture.
Measurements are 23" wide, 25" deep, 37" tall and the seat is 19" high and 19" deep.
