- Moreau family of sculptors was renowned around the world for their naturalistic and graceful sculpture
- Louis Auguste born in Dijon, France in 1855 and died in 1919. Studied with his father and uncles, also at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.
- Cast spelter metal alloy statue similar to pewter, wood base
