From the fabled Black Forest, where Germany, Switzerland and France meet, this monumental bookcase has deeply hand sculpted motifs of symbols of the arts and sciences.
- 1880s antique furniture
- Deeply carved solid oak with musical instruments, art & science references
- Top surface has been refinished for durability. The rest of the original finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving mars and shrinkage separations. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Bookcase doors are all wavy glass
- Some working locks and key
- Shelving is adjustable
- Top and bottom are separate pieces that disassemble.
Size is 102" wide tip to tip, 22" deep and 109" tall.
