An authentic "campaign chest" was hand made about 1860, its mate was inscribed for an English officer, "J. L. Lock, Esq.," posted to "Bombay," India, and could be a picturesque coffee table.
Wonderfully worn, an excellent finish preserves loads of antique character - mars, losses and stains. Solid oak furniture from England, all corners and three drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, inset brass pulls and carrying handles are original.
Measurements are 36" wide, 19" deep and 21 1/2" tall.
The matching chest in photos is priced and sold separately, call or email for availability.
