Cupid Carved Queen Size Rosewood Bed & Nightstands

A carved Cupid panel adorns a dramatic rosewood queen size bed with attached nightstands or bedside tables. Sweeping graceful Art Deco curves are expressed in matched rosewood, supported by lion paw feet.

Pewter and copper hardware and piano door hinges are original. The finish is very fine with various repairs and irregularities, especially to the lower curved moldings, see photos.

Artistically hand-carved in fruitwood, the angel or Cupid scene has stellar details. This remarkable antique furniture was hand-made in northern Italy near Milan about 1930.

Adapted to fit modern queen size bedding as shown, dimensions of the headboard plus removable nightstands are 9' 1" wide, the headboard alone is 5' 3" wide and 46" tall, the footboard is 5' 10" wide and 28" tall, length is 7' 6" total.
