A spectacular breakfront china cabinet or bookcase reflects traditional Georgian design. It is expertly made of mahogany with oval panels of flame grain banded in satinwood, ebony and rosewood. The deep rich finish is excellent.
An engraved brass plate is signed by famous American maker, "Irwin."
Classic grillwork surrounds individual glass panes in the upper doors, shelves are adjustable and have grooves for plate display. In the center is a pull-out writing desk having gold-tooled leather plus tiny drawers and compartments. Drawers in the separate lower section have solid oak dovetailed sides and original brasses.
This superior quality American vintage furniture is about 50 years old. The detailed and graceful pediment is impressive, the upper section is separate for moving. Measurements are 6' 4" long, 18" deep and 7' 9 1/2" tall.
