Signed by famous maker, "Hekman," a lovely cylinder roll top desk has an upper bookcase or curio display section and is about 25 years old. All original, the matched flame grain mahogany has yew wood banding and an inlaid marquetry shell design.
The polished glossy finish is excellent. Glass front and sides are all beveled in the lighted upper section, adjustable shelves have grooves for plate display. Inside the roll top are small cubicles and a tiny drawer, the gold tooled leather writing surface pulls out. Lower drawers have dovetailed solid oak sides and brass hardware is original on this American vintage furniture.
The top is a separate piece for easier delivery. Measurements of this classic desk are 32" wide, 19" deep, 77 1/2" tall and the leather top is 29" high.
