Italian Carved China or Curio Cabinet, Backbar

Hand-carved of walnut about 1940, this grand curio, china cabinet or back bar has great storage. The original warm brown finish is excellent, hardware and working locks are also original.

Stunning artistry is shown in the Rococco shell crest and deeply carved and raised panels, drawers are dovetailed. Leaded windows with individual shaped panes of beveled glass provide a nice display area, we see one tiny chip at a corner - see photo.

Very solid master craftsmanship originates around Milan in northern Italy, called the Piedmont region.

This heroic antique furniture disassembles for easier moving. Dimensions are 9' 9" wide, 24" deep, 7' 8" tall and the base is 41" high.
