Renaissance Carved King Size Antique 1910 Bed

Richly carved in Renaissance design about 1910, a palatial king size bed has columns and deep moldings. Walnut and cherry with matched grain panels, the deep moldings and classical motifs in the friezes are stately.
The lustrous satiny finish is in excellent condition, enhancing the beautifully figured wood. Expertly adapted to fit a standard modern king size mattress as shown, this bed was hand crafted in Italy for a villa near Milan. Side rails are original on this opulent antique furniture, wooden supports underneath for a spring and mattress are included.
Measurements are 83" wide, 94" long, the headboard is 72" tall and the footboard is 32" high.
