An elegant antique French Louis XV design rosewood full or double size bed dates from about 1890 and could be converted to queen size if desired. The original finish is excellent with warm patina. Exquisite diamond matched panels are outstanding.
The wonderful Roccoco carving is truly amazing and shows stunning artistry. Expert hand carving is in high relief, panels are diagonally matched. Rosewood has a sublime delicate grain and color, is extremely hard, and has a silken original finish with warm antique patina. Minor mars at the edges and shrinkage are as expected with age.
