Crafted of solid oak in the 1920's for a Chicago architect's office, this map chest, blue print or document file has 15 large drawers. Three stacking paneled banks of drawers fit neatly together. The signature is by famous maker, "Hamilton" of Two Rivers, Wis.
Two coppery patinated bin pulls and a label holder on are each drawer. The deep brown finish is excellent on this rugged American made vintage file cabinet. Base and top are rebuilt. Fingerholes allow pushing up drawings to protect their corners.
Measurements are 42" wide, 29" deep and 50" tall. Drawer interior size is 37 1/2" wide, 25" front to back and 2" deep, some have dividers which could be removed.
