This is one of the finest round oak antique pedestal tables with carved lion paw feet we have ever seen. Bold natural grain is enhanced by the satiny deep rich finish, which is excellent.
The top, skirt or apron, pedestal and paw feet are all richly carved of solid fine grained quarter-sawn oak. When opened, the pedestal splits, revealing a center leg for extra support. Six almost 12" wide leaves are also solid oak and have shaped skirts, they all fit and match well. Chairs are not included.
Very strong and stable, this circa 1900 antique American table opens and closes smoothly. Size of this historic furniture is 54" diameter, 29" tall, legroom is a generous 25 1/2" high, and length is 10' 5" total.
