A Victorian Gothic cabinet from the 1850's is mahogany with matched flame grain panels, and was probably made to hold an early sewing machine. Useful as a bar cabinet or hall console, the locking cover flips open on this American made furniture.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving just enough mars, shrinkage separations from age and dimples for a little antique character, see photos. The center stile between the doors is brass. There are holes cut for cables on the back as shown.
Measurements are 26" wide, 20" deep and 36 1/2" tall.
